A LITTLE TASTE OF L.A. In ’39

As I am an hour away from heading to the airport to catch a flight to Los Angeles this seemed to be an appropriate posting. It’s an odd little one minute reel of home movies shot in L.A. (mostly) in 1939 which then, inexplicably, shifts to color footage of old Las Vegas–though not necessarily in 1939 (I’m pretty sure it’s at least a decade later). Whoever shot this clearly spent a day at the Farmer’s Market on Fairfax and then got a tour of Disney Studios in Burbank. Fun-ish! I urge you to read the comments section as this particular Youtube video has for some reason attracted some of the stupidest viewers you’ve yet to encounter. Arrivederci…
