Apropos of yesterday’s ‘Flintstones’ musical moment, here is the hottest cartoon character ever drawn–save for, perhaps, Jessica Rabbit. (Or Petunia Pig, if the BBW world is more your cup of darjeeling). Ann-Margret was square in the middle of her ‘Viva Las Vegas’ fame when this tribute was drawn by the usually boring animators at Hanna-Barbara. As Ann Margrock, she’s at the center of one of the best plotted of the Flintstones episodes. But I won’t go into details since frankly I don’t remember it well enough. I do remember, however, that I always teared up when Ann Margrock gets Fred and Barney to join her on TV so as not to embarrass them in the eyes of their friends. Twitch, Twitch…
