Cohan’s show ‘Little Johnny Jones’ (1904) as recreated in Warner Brothers Cohan biopic ‘Yankee Doodle Dandy’ (1942). It’s important to note Cagney’s signature hump-assed movements and his unusual forward-leaning prancing, as if gravity were pulling him while simultaneously shoving a plunger up his rectum.
