Here is a most peculiar piece of footage (and short–only 28 seconds) showing a garden party at Francis Ford Coppola’s Napa Vally home sometime in the mid 1970s. We see Francis quaffing white wine in a plastic cup, George Lucas picking his teeth, Dennis Hopper bedecked in cowboy duds and Robert De Niro looking young, handsome and like he’s ready to leave. There is what appears to be a jazz ensemble on the porch of the house, which is (if I’m not mistaken) the original Victorian main house on what had been the Inglenook Winery which Coppola purchased in the early 70s. Who shot this footage? Why is it on YouTube? Why isn’t there more of it? I can answer none of these questions. It has attracted a mere 64 views in its one-year life on YT. It is silent. It is a mystery. It is ghostly. It is time for my lunch.

I think there’s a Spielberg sighting as well! Wow.
Yeah, is that him? Was wondering…
