Without reservation I can say that I find ‘A Plumbing We Will Go’ easily the best Three Stooges short ever made. But I’ll go further. I’ll go on record right now (yes, on record) and say that this is on par with Laurel & Hardy’s ‘Helpmates’ and ‘The Music Box’ as one of the three greatest two-reel comedies ever made. A final claim; ‘A Plumbing We Will Go’ contains the best one-liner ever heard in any short comedy. The line belongs to Moe Howard and it happens when Moe is told they forgot to bring a certain piece of equipment they need. You’ll have to watch the film to hear his response. Happy plumbing…
