Apparently my posts of the past few days haven’t been going out on their usual nightly basis due to wonky WordPress issues. But that’s all in the past now so instead of posting something new I’ll re-post a few that you may have missed. The theme was a terrific fifteen minute program that Orson Welles made for the BBC in 1955 called ‘Orson Welles Sketchbook’. All will be revealed–in terms of what the show was etc.–if you dig in and check it out. It’s well worth a little of your time–Orson is impossibly charming, articulate and amusing and talks on a variety of topics such as magic, policing, John Barrymore, Houdini, the ‘War of the Worlds’ broadcast and more. Click here for Wednesdays post, click here for Thursdays and click here for Friday. Regular programming will resume tomorrow–assuming WordPress allows it.
