To close out this weeks series of 1960s TV series promos (and revisitations of forgotten items) here’s a nine minute reel of forgotten and cancelled shows from the years 1963-67 roughly. Did you know there was a ‘Blondie’ TV series that flopped? I didn’t. ‘O.K. Crackerby’ is a famous flop from the period but I’d never seen its silly and too long promo. There are a couple of shows that look quite interesting, specifically Irwin Allen’s time-travel show ‘The Time Tunnel’ and ‘Honey West’, a groundbreaking show featuring TVs first female detective, played by the excellent and unjustly forgotten Anne Francis. Apparently ‘Honey West’ has survived and exists in a DVD set. Perhaps a subject for next weeks journey…
